A Federal Government department is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to lead their Treasury and Accounts Receivable team. This role is critical in supporting the departments financial operations particularly during the implementation of new financial systems to modernise processes and improve service delivery.
The position will suit someone with strong Treasury and Accounts Receivable experience who enjoys leading small teams thrives in dynamic environments and is confident providing strategic advice on financial operations.
Lead supervise and develop a small Treasury and Accounts Receivable team.
Oversee daily operations including invoicing account processing reconciliations and records management.
Provide technical advice on Treasury Management and Accounts Receivable functions.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including the PGPA Act and internal governance frameworks.
Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Manage team workflows and quality assurance to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and updates to policies and procedures.
Support end-of-month processes including reconciliations journals and reporting.
Minimum 2 years experience supervising Treasury and/or Accounts Receivable functions.
Strong knowledge of the PGPA Act and Whole of Government financial policies and procedures.
Experience with financial systems (e.g. CBMS TechnologyOne) and tools (e.g. Excel).
Strong leadership analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently prioritise tasks and deliver in high-pressure environments.
Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in financial operations.
Must be eligible to work in Australia.
National Criminal History Check required prior to commencement.
