POSITION SUMMARY:
Join the Mitsubishi Electric US team as Assistant Manager of Corporate Communications where you will help shape the brands communication strategy ensuring an impactful and consistent voice in the Americas region.
You will work closely with the Director of Corporate Communications to translate corporate strategies into meaningful content and execute communications programs and storytelling to the media customers team members and other stakeholders. This role requires skilled communication and collaboration with business unit teams executives media outlets and various internal stakeholders to ensure compelling and consistent messaging to the right audiences.
The essential functions of the position include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and execute communications content for internal and external audiences designed to drive engagement and brand awareness. Placement for content distribution includes the corporate website intranet social media channels press releases executive thought leadership among others.
- Support U.S. and Japan HQ communications for global branding initiatives US corporate website management and public relations coordination. This includes researching developing or adapting global content for corporate and intranet websites and other media assuring that information is accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate closely with business units across the Americas region to communicate and support global branding and communication initiatives.
- Responsible for social media management/updates on a regular basis including managing performance strategies and reporting on success metrics/KPIs. Knowledge of CRM and Marketing Automation tools a plus.
- Maintain the Mitsubishi Electric US Americas region intranet that connects businesses across the region with relevant corporate messaging announcements and policies
- Manage internal communication channels such as news distribution of weekly news updates and quarterly employee communications newsletters.
- Write or edit and submit press releases and other communications projects. Identify newsworthy items for possible PR ideas. This position may assist in the development of PR materials which entails collecting materials and data from multiple departments.
- Assist with duties surrounding the PGA TOUR sponsorship including database management ticket allocation golf outing logistics and similar duties. Develop creative ways to maximize/activate sponsorships.
- Support special events and projects as needed including Americas Presidents Meeting Americas Corporate Communications Meeting and select tradeshows.
- Manage vendors as assigned.
Other duties:
- Digital asset management and document organization. Help create and manage department budgets and invoicing.
- Support Corporate Communications department with administrative duties including budget check requests presentation assistance mailings maintaining dues and subscriptions responding to customer queries mail distribution business card orders etc.
- Support in-house design and creation of marketing materials where an agency is not used.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Some travel required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors Degree in Communications Marketing English Advertising or Journalism is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in communications preferred (corporate communications public relations or marketing communication). B2B experience in a global technology company a plus.
- Experience in media relations support and presentation development and familiarity with Associated Press Style.
- Graphic design and video editing experience is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Solid social media and digital marketing knowledge with experience leveraging AI tools for communications and marketing projects.
- Proficient in the usage of the Microsoft 365 products: SharePoint Word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
- Event Management experience.
- Must be a positive team player willing to wear many hats and jump in to support projects as needed with the ability to self-motivate or work in teams within a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Japanese a plus but not required.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $85600 and $117700/year; however base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
