Production Supervisor - Cable Manufacturing
Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Supervisor to lead a high-performing team in our data center cable manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Lean Manufacturing 5S and the Toyota Production System (TPS) and will exemplify the principles of servant leadership. This role requires a bilingual professional (English/Spanish) who can effectively communicate and lead a diverse workforce while driving quality efficiency and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
*Supervise daily production operations to meet delivery quality and productivity targets.
*Lead with a servant leadership mindset-empowering developing and supporting team members.
*Drive and sustain Lean Manufacturing practices including: Single Piece Flow Standard Work Kaizen and Visual Management.
*Champion and maintain 5S workplace organization across all workstations.
*Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as: Throughput Scrap rate Downtime Labor efficiency.
*Collaborate with Quality Engineering and Maintenance teams to resolve process issues and implement improvements.
*Train mentor and evaluate team members to ensure compliance with safety quality and operational standards.
*Ensure adherence to company policies safety regulations and standard operating procedures.
*Foster a culture of continuous improvement and respect for people in alignment with TPS principles.
*Communicate production goals and expectations clearly in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications
*Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (cable electrical or related industry preferred).
*Bilingual - Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
*Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Toyota Production System and 5S principles.
*Proven leadership skills with an emphasis on empathy accountability and team development.
*Excellent interpersonal organizational and problem-solving abilities.
*Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook); experience with ERP systems preferred.
*High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in a technical field is a plus.
