Job Description
IT Systems & Infrastructure Manager
numi are currently working with a growing operationally smart business who are looking for an IT Systems & Infrastructure Manager to take control of their internal tech setup from infrastructure and systems through to third-party supplier performance data reporting and future-facing automation.
This is not a maintenance role. Youll be hands-on yes but also trusted to shape how IT supports the wider business. Youll manage outsourced IT partners own security and compliance and drive improvements using tools like Power BI and AI.
The role:
- Lead systems and infrastructure operations (Windows networks M365 Business Central Eque2 Housebuilding)
- Keep third-party IT suppliers accountable and delivering at pace
- Maintain and evolve network security (VPNs firewalls backups audits ISO 27001)
- Spot inefficiencies then script or automate them out (PowerShell Python)
- Build smarter reporting flows with Power BI and explore where AI can make an impact
- Provide occasional desktop support (this is still a hands-on role)
- Keep documentation clean and clear
What theyre looking for:
- 1 year of experience in IT systems/infrastructure
- Confident managing third-party IT providers
- Comfortable across Windows OS VMware/Hyper-V DNS DHCP VPNs
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure is a plus)
- Familiar with monitoring tools and security best practices
- Proficient in PowerShell or Python for automation
- Detail-focused solutions-led and steady under pressure
Bonus points if you:
- Have worked with Business Central or Eque2
- Know your way around Power BI dashboards
- Have a strong handle on ISO 27001 and compliance standards
- Are curious about AI and how it can be practically applied in operations
- Actually enjoy improving documentation not just ignoring it
