As part of a Franciscan faith community St. Joseph the Worker School shares in the mission of the Church to proclaim and build the Kingdom of God. Located in Richmond near the waterfront village of Steveston the school is a vibrant learning centre that nurtures and develops the whole child; mind body and spirit. JOB DESCRIPTION
St. Joseph the Worker Elementary School is seeking a part time Music teacher commencing September 1 2025. In addition to teaching Music to K-7 students the Music teacher leads the organization and production of an Advent concert a spring concert or musical and the music for monthly masses. The Music teacher oversees the primary and intermediate choirs outside class time. Experience leading a band program would be an asset. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching and learning enjoys working in a team environment and is able to contribute to the school community outside the classroom through their love of music. This is an opportunity for the Music teacher to grow and build on a strong music foundation at St. Joseph the Worker School.

On an on-going basis we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics non-Catholics new education grads and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
