Under general direction the Special Programs Assistant assists in the implementation and administration of an assigned special program or project; performs various clerical and technical tasks related to the assigned program or project including working with program participants compiling data and preparing reports and other written materials; and collaborating with multiple stakeholders from various agencies.

Required Education and ExperienceEducation:High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:Two years ofgeneral clerical experience including one year working with at-promiseor foster youths in a Child Welfare and Attendance Student Support or similar programs.
Equivalency Provision:A valid California drivers license and availability of private transportation or ability to provide transportation between job sites may be required.
Hybrid remote schedules may be available. To ensure the health and safety of its staff LACOE may require employees to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
Selection ProcessCandidates who meet the minimum requirements above will be invited to participate in an examination that may consist of a multiple-choice exam a performance evaluation and a structured interview.
