About Freetown-Lakeville The Towns of Freetown and Lakeville are thriving rural areas with approximately 25400 people. The regional school district consists of five schools from the towns of Lakeville and Freetown. Four of the schools are located in the town of Lakeville; one elementary grades K-3 one intermediate school grades 4-5 one middle school grades 6-8 and one high school grades 9-12. There is one elementary school grade Pre-K -3 located in the town of Objective/Responsibilities:The Registered Nurse will perform professional nursing duties consistent with Massachusetts guidelines regulations and statutes governing nursing school health and local district policy. The District Float Nurse will rotate throughout the district and work collaboratively with other school nurses to assist with the implementation of the school health program as defined by the school district. The RN will take responsibility to cover buildings in the absence of the full time nurse for all grade levels and work in buildings with additional needs during different times of the day/week/month. Outstanding organizational written and communications skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility are essential for this :- Bachelors degree in nursing is preferred.- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.- Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education School Nurse licensure is preferred.- A minimum of two years of employment as a Registered Nurse in a child health community health or other relevant clinical nursing setting and school nursing is preferred.- Current CPR :Kelly Steele Director of Student Services ext.
