Job Description
Were searching for a nursing aide to join our center at North Shore SurgiCenter in Smithtown New York.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Transport patients to and from the operating room area. Ensure patient safety. Reports any patient complaints. Assist nursing with transferring patients to and from the operating room bed and moving heavy equipment.
- Assist in patients during prep changing.
- Cleaning stretchers and OR beds
- Re-stock supplies linens and fill the blanket warmers in the sterile core as needed.
- Dispose all linen and trash
- Give patients snacks/ personal belongings
- Help with duties throughout the center
REQUIREMENTS: Experience with patient contact preferred.Good communication skills; ability to get along with others.
