Sheppard Pratt School in Rockvilleis a nonpublic special education day school serving students ages 5-21 (grades K-12) with a range of needs including autism development delay emotional disability multiple disabilities other health impairments specific learning disability and speech or language impairments. Our small class sizes and individualized instruction ensure that students receive the attention and support they need to succeed academically and emotionally. Our team provides a supportive and structured environment that integrates specialized academic instruction counseling transition services and behavioral modification tailored to each students unique needs.
What to expect.
You will assess develop and implement behavior support plans for students with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans (BIPs).
- Conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and ongoing assessments to monitor progress.
- Providing training and support to caregivers and staff on behavior management techniques and intervention strategies.
- Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

The pay range for this position is $56700.80 minimum to $87568 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors including but not limited to years and level of related experience.
What we need from you.
- Masters degree in a related field of study.
- Two years of behavior assessment and management experience.
- For internal candidates: a bachelors degree plus 4 years of relevant experience (2 of which must be within SPHS) would be considered a substitute for a masters degree.
