Job Description
Operates radio broadcast board for KUER as a Sunday afternoon host playing back program segments and other audio. The Sunday host afternoon shift is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hosting is done on-site at KUER facility. Category I: Mandatory Required on Campus or at Health Care Facilities. Main Campus staff: Employees and/or functions designated as mandatory requiring employees to be physically located on campus in order to maintain campus systems and operations if they are healthy without symptoms.
Responsibilities
Operates radio broadcast board on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Plays back underwriting messages show promotions and other audio during local breaks Responsible for making seamless transitions between national broadcast and local newscasts and breaks
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Communications Journalism Broadcasting or a related field and one year of previous professional experience in the news field or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated oral and written communications skills and an understanding of Public Radio and radio broadcasting required.
