Come work as a Primary Care Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Primary Care Physician at a new Urgent and Primary Care Clinic (UPCC) opening in 2026. This role suits Family or Emergency Physicians interested in team-based care for patients with non-life-threatening conditions. The clinic runs 365 days/year and is equipped with X-ray ECG slit lamp and point-of-care ultrasound. Experience with minor procedures is an asset. Flexibility for day evening weekend and holiday shifts is required.

Qualifications

Education Licensing & Experience:

  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) Full
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) - Eligible
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory

In addition:

  • Recent experience in primary care and urgent/emergent care.
  • Strong communication skills empathy attention to detail
  • COVID-19 vaccination required as per current Public Health Orders
  • Positive respectful and supportive team environment. Focus on professional development and continuous improvement

As per Ministry of Health policy all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections.
