Job Description

  • Support children in Out of Care specifically large sibling groups
  • Build your knowledge & experience working with children and young people
  • Casual rolesDandenong$37.35 plus 25% casual loadingweekend penalty rates

Your role:

The shifts would likely include trips to and from school as well as weekend support work shifts. We would like our support workers to have knowledge of trauma and trauma-informed care.

Currently we have a preference for afternoon availability.

A Support Worker works with clients within the out of home care sector they act as a positive role model in supporting young people to engage in pro-social activities and to assist in the development of independent life and living skills.

Some of the general tasks include:

  • Transporting young people to and from school and/or appointments
  • Working with young people to set develop and work towards their own goals
  • Supporting care givers
  • Creating positive memories for children in care
