Job description
We are looking for dependable capable and team-oriented individuals who want to work in a busy retail environment. We are a family-owned business and are looking for folks who want to help build our community.
We have two retail and one production location in Delaware County. This job is in our Swarthmore location on 320 making it convenient for both employees and guests alike.
We love making great food and sharing it with our guests. Some of our most popular sandwiches are chicken cutlet Italian Specials and Calabrese. We are best known for our pico de gallo and our handmade tortilla chips. We also make a variety of delicious salads from traditional items like Caesar Salads to Sesame Noodles. We produce a range of tacos and burgers as well. .
Pay range $14-$16/hr pooled tips (after 90 day probationary period-generally $4-$6/hr).
Shifts are generally 7 am to 2 pm. 11 am to 7 pm and 2 pm to 9 pm. Weekend and evening availability are a must. 18 and older required due to selling alcohol.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Builds fresh sandwiches in retail packaging or on demand per given recipes and guides.
- Makes all prep associated with the product including dressing and condiments according to given recipes and daily pars.
- Assists customers at service counter answers phones.
- Inputs orders through TOAST screens and checks out guests as needed. Basic cash handling is required.
- Maintains cleanliness and aesthetic of display cases and fridges workstations and storage area.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Answer report and follow leaderships instructions.
- Participate in creating specials and providing feedback on customer demands.
Employees immediately receive a 20% discount on all merchandise (except alcohol - this is illegal in PA). After probationary period of 90 days all employees are eligible for PTO and for tip share. All Full-Time employees are eligible for Health Dental and Vision insurance after 90 days. After 6 months 401k matching is also available.
