What Youll Do:
Lead and develop detailed structural designs of rail and transit facilities line structure component repairs ensuring compliance with the latest industry codes and client standards.
Prepare design calculations reports drawings and specifications for stations maintenance facilities elevated guideways and other transit structures.
Conduct structural analysis and develop design solutions that enhance safety durability and constructability.
Work closely within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and in close coordination contractors to integrate structural designs into overall project requirements.
Perform structural inspections field assessments and condition evaluations for transit-related projects.
Ensure designs meet the requirements of regional transit agencies.
Support project management activities including budget tracking scheduling and client coordination.
Regularly engage with clients to present design options progress reports and technical solutions. Collect and incorporate client feedback into project deliverables to ensure final designs meet or exceed client requirements and expectations.
What Youll Bring:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
5 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on rail and transit projects.
Strong knowledge of steel concrete and masonry design.
Familiarity with industry standards such as AREMA AASHTO and Rail and Transit design guidelines.
Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000 ETABS SAFE or similar) and CAD/BIM tools (Revit AutoCAD MicroStation).
Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe)..
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
