Purpose:As a supervisor your primary purpose is to oversee daily operations within the department ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.You play a strategic role in achieving departmental goals and allocating resources.
Responsibilities- Setting Performance Goals:Establish performance goals and deadlines in ways that comply with the companys plans and vision.
- Organizing Workflow:Ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. Create team schedules and delegate responsibilities.
- Monitoring Employee Productivity:Provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance performance.
- Strategic Planning:Develop and implement plans to achieve departmental objectives.
- Serve as a liaison between cross-functional teams including engineering to ensure clear communication alignment on priorities and efficient execution of projects.
Qualifications- Bachelors degree (or equivalent work experience) and a minimum of 7 years of related experience or a masters degree and 5-7 years of related experiences (preferred).
- Excellent leadership and management skills
- Familiarity with the Family History Library Catalog and FamilySearch.
- Skilled in the use of standard desktop software including Word and Excel.
- Experience with software and system testing is beneficial along database and workflow management is a plus.
- Able to keep confidence and appropriately deal with sensitive data and documents.
- Ability to guide and motivate a team.
- Effective communication with clients upper management and team members.
- Address challenges related to daily operations.
- Handle hiring training and performance evaluations for your team.
