Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Controllers organization provides financial information for Pfizer Inc. to management shareholders and regulators. As part of the Core Operations department of Controllers the Global Mark-Up Exchange (GMX) group provides an integrated cost intercompany transfer price inventory and markup system. The GMX team and process provides management with data used for both internal and external reporting through extensive collaboration with business partners to ensure intercompany commerce is not disrupted.

The GMX Master Data Maintenance team is primarily responsible for managing the monthly/annual data collection process (set-up and updating of cost chains that include standard costs and intercompany transfer prices) system security and user access. GMX master data is the key component utilized for the monthly GMX submissions (Intercompany Sales Intercompany Cost of Sales Intercompany Profit and Inventory) and detailed analysis of the P&L (primarily cost of goods sold) and balance sheet (inventory and global intercompany mark-up reserve). GMX Master Data is used by Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) Network Supply Master Data (NSMD) and Pfizer Connect to enable the supply of product through the Pfizer network for supply & distribution.

This position collaborates with GMX team members and key stakeholders to maintain master data for GMX data cubes calculation engine and global inventory reporting. The role involves coordinating with the Master Data Lead and colleagues to resolve issues and execute necessary changes ensuring continuous product supply throughout the network especially during supply chain changes.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the setup and maintenance of end-to-end cost chains within the GMX Transfer Price and Cost Cubes strong understanding of intercompany inventory accounting concepts such as transfer pricing and statistical costs is critical.

  • Manage projects related to ERP deployments product launches out-licensing activities and network supply changes coordinating across departments to implement new cost chains and resolve system exceptions.

  • Serve as a key liaison between GMX Transfer Price COE and Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) to ensure alignment and dual maintenance of GMX and PGS Budget Cubes.

  • Analyze GMX system exceptions due to broken cost chains and manage issue resolution tickets for transfer price interface errors

  • Provide subject matter expertise on transfer pricing and standard cost development to support and problem solve with stakeholders in adapting GMX processes to evolving business needs.

  • Develop and implement E2E process improvements in partnership with both business and digital colleagues and through analysis and identification of trends in GMX performance metrics. Ensure the process is in adherence to SOPs and supports timely resolution of stakeholder issues.

  • Monitor and manage GMX user access ensuring compliance with internal controls and timely processing of access requests.

  • Maintain and update SOPs and work instructions to reflect current practices and support team in master your role approach to growing in the role.

  • Design and deliver training sessions for stakeholders focusing on cost/price maintenance and system usage.

  • Collaborate regularly with GMX team members to ensure alignment on priorities deadlines and issue resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Required Basic Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelors degreeand 5years of experiencein financial operations master data management or intercompany accounting within a global organization

  • OR Masters degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR Associates degree with 8 years of relevant experience; OR 10 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven ability tomanage complex projects and coordinate across cross-functional teams.

  • Understanding oftransfer pricingstandard cost development andintercompany inventory accounting.

  • Proficiency inSAP (ECC or S/4 HANA)andfinancial reporting systems.

  • AdvancedMicrosoft Excelor Power BI skills including financial modelling and data analysis.

  • Strongcommunication and stakeholder engagementskills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.

  • High attention to detail and aproblem-solving mindsetwith a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work independently in ambiguous situations and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic global environment.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

  • MBA or CPAcertification

  • 57 years of experience inmaster data maintenancefinancial systems orglobal supply chain operations.

  • Experience withPfizer-specific systemssuch as GMX PGS Budget Cube or Transfer Pricing Cube.

  • Familiarity withUS GAAPand Pfizer Accounting Policies and Procedures.

  • Prior involvement inERP deploymentsproduct launches ornetwork supply chain transitions.

  • Experience leadingtraining sessions developing SOPs and supportingsystem enhancements.

  • Knowledge ofdata and systems access securityand internal control frameworks.

  • Strongproject managementandperformance reportingcapabilities.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • Infrequent travel may be required to other Pfizer campuses for meetings with stakeholders

  • Periodic meetings outside of typical working hours may be required due to the global nature of the role


Work Location Assignment:Hybrid

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $86800.00 to $144600.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 12.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
