Job Highlights:
Cooks are the production backbone of the kitchen. Due to our large volume of patients we have a team of talented cooks and culinary staff who create meals for patients using standardized recipes and approved methods of high volume food production. The work is fast-paced and varied and is performed under the instruction and guidance of trained chefs. We employ production staff on our patient tray food lines who produce short-order requests or plate meal orders. We also schedule both cooks and cold food employees in bulk food prep and production for the 3500 patient meals we serve every day.

Job Description:
To prepare food items for patients children visitors and staff using specialized equipment. To communicate recipe and production issues to supervisors. May develop and implement USDA menus for children ages up to sixty (60) months.
One (1) year of related experience required. Certified as completed the Food Handler Training Course by the Jefferson County Department of Health within twenty-one (21) days from date of employment required.
