THE ROLE & THE TEAM
At Zalando we often test the limits of Salesforce offering several opportunities to build unique one-of-a-kind solutions. We are building a Fashion CRM on Salesforce which requires us to connect to various systems/microservices at Zalando and present actionable insights in Salesforce. As we are scaling up the team at a rapid pace we want people at different expertise levels to serve the varied needs of the team.

As a Software Engineer at Zalando you will design build enhance and maintain existing and new applications that will be used across Zalando in various business functions. You will challenge our status quo and help us define best practices for how we work.

You will foster sound development practices and ensure a high quality delivery of solutions You will constantly strive to optimise our systems and motivate the team to do likewise Design develop and deploy microservices for our Kubernetes production environment in collaboration with other engineers and direct interaction with users. You will contribute to discussions and be actively involved in the decision making of our architecture and development 4 years of experience in building server side applications with NodeJs Go or Python. 2 years of experience in developing client side applications using ReactJS. You care about observability automated tests and fast delivery Ability to write well formatted structured and clean code that interacts with databases and UI clients Curiosity in actively collaborating with product management and design and a passion for solving meaningful problems. Experience with CI/CD pipelines Docker/Kubernetes or AWS deployment is a plus. Salesforce Development experience is a plus. Experience with Typescript is a plus. Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset with a desire to collaborate with diverse teams stakeholders and share knowledge. Understanding of data sharing and visibility considerations in platform architecture which needs to support large data volume limitations and follow best practices High initiative and intrinsic motivation for the further development of your own understanding of technical solutions and fluency in the English language.
