Nurse Practitioner-Family Permanent Role
- Location: College Station TX 77845
- Shift: Full-Time Days 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Guaranteed: 40 Hours
- Compensation: Based on experience.
Essential Functions of the Role: - Perform and obtain comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and medical histories to assess the physical and mental condition of patients.
- Order collect interpret and evaluate diagnostic and laboratory tests to assess patient conditions and healthcare needs.
- Prescribe and manage medical drug therapies and/or perform therapeutic procedures in accordance with established protocols focusing on safety efficacy and cost-effectiveness.
- Recommend interventions and counsel patients to support behavioral changes related to health risk factors.
- Develop and implement outcomes-based patient-centered treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other care team members.
- Evaluate the patients response to treatment and adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding medical conditions treatment options medications nutrition and health promotion.
- Counsel patients about drug regimens including potential side effects or interactions with other medications food or supplements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient assessments treatment plans and outcomes.
- Initiate timely referrals when medical needs exceed scope of practice.
- Provide specialty consultations based on clinical training and expertise.
- Perform invasive procedures as allowed by scope of practice and approved by the supervising physician.
- Manage a patient panel using a team-based care model that emphasizes chronic disease management and population health.

Licensure & Certification Requirements: - Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state.
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Texas.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) national certification in area of specialty.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required within 30 days of hire or transfer).
Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience: New graduates welcome (less than 1 year of NP experience acceptable).
