We are hiring on behalf of a global MNC in the maritime industry with a well-established presence across Asia and Europe. The company is known for its focus on operational excellence safety and high-quality project execution in shipbuilding and conversion. We are currently seeking a Project Manager Conversion Projects to lead the planning and delivery of ship conversion and EPC projects in Asia. Based in Singapore this position involves collaboration with major shipyards and stakeholders in Asia (China Korea and Japan) and internationally.


Project Manager Conversion

(Based in Singapore)

Your Role: As Project Manager you will oversee multiple vessel conversion projects coordinating across technical financial and operational domains. You will be responsible for ensuring that all project milestones are achieved while maintaining alignment with safety cost and timeline expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full lifecycle of ship conversion or EPC projects from initiation to final handover.
  • Lead contract signing plan approval construction oversight and commissioning efforts.
  • Collaborate with site teams classification societies subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement effective project management frameworks and strategies.
  • Support budgeting and cost control including oversight of project finances change orders and procurement coordination.
  • Monitor quality safety and technical compliance through regular site inspections and audits.
  • Ensure robust communication with internal stakeholders and present progress reports to senior leadership.
  • Address risks and challenges with proactive contingency planning and resolution management.
  • Handle ad hoc project responsibilities as required.


Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Marine Mechanical Naval Architecture or similar).
  • Minimum 5 7 years of project management experience in ship conversion or EPC projects within the maritime industry.
  • Prior exposure to project costing contracts and procurement processes is a plus.
  • Strong technical acumen and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Willing to travel internationally for site visits and supervision.
