Job Description
- Drive the renewal and upgrade of the existing backup platform for both on-premise systems and Azure cloud.
- Evaluate recommend and assist in the implementation of the most suitable backup platform solutions that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Design implement and manage robust backup solutions for VMWare-based systems ensuring data security and recoverability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive backup strategies for Azure environments including routine validation and testing of backup and recovery processes.
- Monitor backup jobs troubleshoot failures and generate detailed reports on performance status and compliance.
- Promptly resolve backup and recovery incidents to minimize potential data loss and downtime.
- Maintain detailed documentation of backup configurations procedures and recovery strategies.
- Collaborate closely with IT ISO and compliance teams to ensure solutions adhere to organizational standards and industry best practices.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in backup and recovery management specifically within VMWare and Azure environments.
- In-depth understanding of Luxembourgish data security and regulatory compliance standards especially those relevant to banking institutions.
- Proven experience with backup platforms such as Veeam and Commvault.
- Solid track record in implementing and supporting enterprise-grade backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in VMWare backup solutions and Azure Backup & Recovery services.
- Develop and execute disaster recovery plans with precision and reliability.
- Solve complex backup and restore issues effectively under pressure.
- Communicate clearly and work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Document technical configurations and operational procedures with attention to detail.
