Job Description
Job Title: Procurement Executive
Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Executive to manage and streamline the procurement operations at rice mill sites. This role requires on-ground coordination with rice mill vendors to ensure timely stock updates transportation arrangements loading activities manpower handling and sampling processes. The ideal candidate should have strong negotiation skills a practical approach to field coordination and experience in agro-based procurement or manufacturing logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate directly at rice mill sites for real-time stock monitoring and reporting.
Manage and supervise transportation schedules for timely movement of goods.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials including manpower (loadman) handling.
Conduct and oversee sampling processes as per company quality standards.
Liaise with mill representatives and third-party vendors for smooth procurement flow.
Maintain detailed records of stock position dispatches and receipts.
Ensure compliance with safety hygiene and documentation protocols during operations.
Resolve on-ground issues related to logistics stock variance or manpower shortages.
Assist the central procurement team with data reports and field updates.
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Supply Chain Management Commerce Agriculture or related field.
2 to 4 years of experience in procurement field operations or agri-logistics preferred.
Skills Required:
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
Practical understanding of supply chain and logistics functions
Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP / Procurement Software
Ability to work independently at field locations
Good communication in local language and basic English
Attention to detail with a sense of urgency and accountability
