Job Description
Job Summary: Eurofins Viral Safety is seeking an entry level Associate Scientist to join their team in Lancaster PA.
Hours: Sunday - Thursday 8am-5pm
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform aseptic tissue culture techniques such as expansion and seeding of adherent and suspension tissue culture lines including numerous mammalian and insect culture cell lines.
- Perform common lab skills include microscopy aseptic media preparation mechanical pipetting serial dilution preparations and basic calculations including the use of Excel spreadsheets.
- Perform virology techniques including inoculation of tissue culture systems with various model viruses plaque assays focus assays and other secondary techniques such as hemagglutination/hemadsorption assays and immunofluorescence staining
- Review and evaluate raw data for acceptability
- Set up and validate new analytical or related processes used by the department
- Document work as required for GMP compliance
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in biology molecular or cell biology or-related field or other related degree concentration
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team self-motivation adaptability and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques perform multiple tasks simultaneously keep accurate records follow instructions and comply with company policies
Additional Information :
Position is full-time Sunday-Thursday 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates who live within a commutable distance from Lancaster PA encourage to apply.
