The Welder is responsible for processing various raw materials and fabricating semi-complex parts by interpreting engineered drawings aligning components and performing multiple welding techniques to meet precise tolerances and product performance standards. This role supports high-quality production while adhering to safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform welding tasks using FCAW GMAW GMAW-P TIG and Carbon Arc methods based on blueprints and technical drawings
Interpret engineered drawings and use weld symbols and dimensions to perform accurate fabrication
Follow red-line processes and suggest improvements or modifications as needed
Troubleshoot and repair common welding issues such as consumable failures (e.g. spring liners tip nozzle insulators)
Operate hand and power tools including chipping hammers grinders and other basic equipment
Accurately log work hours into the ERP system (currently SAP)
Support and engage in continuous improvement activities including daily housekeeping and 5S audits
Collaborate effectively with supervisors managers and peers to meet production goals and deliver high-quality products
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all company safety policies and quality standards

The estimated salary range for this position is $20 to $22. Starting pay is based on multiple factors including experience technical skills and work location. At Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package supported by a comprehensive benefits program.
