The Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU)is a 32 bed adult inpatient surgical unit. The unit offers 3 levels of care: floortelemetry and intermediate care for acute cardiac vascular and other surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring. Care and services provided: coronary artery bypass Heartmate II or III & Heartware mechanical circulatory support devices valve replacement or repairs Type A & B aortic dissections fem-pop bypass scalenectomy TAVR heart or lung transplantation. During the week there is an experienced resource nurse available to assist with admissions/discharges transport monitoring and emergencies. Registered Nurses (RNs) will participate in a full orientation including coredepartment of surgery and critical careclasses.
TheLead Clinical Nurse(RN) provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations.

Qualifications:
- BSN/MSNfrom an accredited nursing programrequired.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required
- Must haveat least 3 yearsof acute care RN work experience;
- Ability to lead others assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit use principles of conflict resolution recommend resource utilization and implement performance management of staff.

Salary Range: Minimum$46.57/hour - Maximum$72.18/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
