Senior Distribution Executive, Berkley Marketplace

Berkley Aspire is an excess & surplus lines insurer of commercial risks unable to find coverage in the standard markets. We are a business unit of WR Berkley a publicly traded (NYSE WRB) global insurer founded in 1967. Aspires offices are located in Scottsdale Cincinnati and Richmond and we have remote employees living and working across the country.

Aspires lead coverage line is general liability for small- to medium-sized businesses. We also offer property and excess liability on a packaged basis. Our service area is all 50 states.

Were seeking a relationship builder and strategic partnership creator who can help grow Berkleys brand with retail agents. Located in Scottsdale AZ West Chester OH or Glen Allen VA this role will lead the distribution efforts for Berkley Marketplace an innovative internal wholesaler which makes the coverage capabilities of certain Berkley Business Units (BUs) available to Berkley Aspire agents. Berkley Marketplaces brokers market risks/opportunities to the Berkley BUs represented in the Berkley Marketplace.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Berkley Marketplace leadership and brokers and Aspires marketing & communications team to execute growth plans
• Create and strengthen relationships with agreed upon Berkley Business Units
• Recommend new tactics strategies and communication campaigns for promoting the Berkley Marketplace
• Use tools and data to form engagement plan and prioritize relationships
• Provide actionable feedback business intelligence (i.e. competitors threats to the business coverage gaps rate trends emerging markets etc.) and voice of the customer insights
• Enlist Distribution and Underwriting teams at Aspire (and elsewhere) as ambassadors for the Berkley Marketplace

• Bachelors degree preferred
• Industry experience: 7 years in commercial insurance; deep understanding of excess & surplus lines insurance
• Strong business and financial acumen
