Business Analyst Associate

Overview of the Role:
Join our clients dynamic trading and project management team as a Business Analyst Associate! This role offers an excellent opportunity to support critical business operations through data analysis process improvement and report development. Youll work closely with senior analysts while gaining valuable experience in the energy sectors fast-paced trading environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct operational analyses to support informed decision-making
- Execute end-of-day trade recaps and reports in SOX Application
- Monitor daily Value at Risk and risk-related measures
- Reconcile broker statements and external transaction records
- Develop daily Profit and Loss reports and pricing information
- Handle Electronic Funds Sources and clearing transactions
- Create ad-hoc reports using SQL & Power BI
- Develop and automate Excel-based reports using macros
- Support trade capture platform development with IT teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- 1 year of related analytical experience
- Proficiency in SQL and Power BI
- Advanced Excel skills including macro development
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced trading environment
