About Us:
Hello! Were the Justice Information Technology Services (JITS) team at the Montana Department of Justice (DOJ).We serve the Montana Attorney General providing vital Information Technology (IT) infrastructure which Montanans rely upon to support state and local law enforcement. Our team is dynamic and collaborative and we have a big impact. We manage the IT systems services and interfaces to support approximately 900 DOJ employees and over 3000 Criminal Justice Information Network (CJIN) customers across the state working together to make a difference. JITS supports DOJ staff involved with legal cases concerning the State and its people Montana missing persons victim services childrens justice consumer protection criminal investigations highway safety motor vehicle operations gambling control criminal history information and forensic laboratory services.

The Role:
We are looking for a skilledIT Systems Analystwho will be responsible for the development implementation support and maintenance of the Department of Justices systems. The incumbent will consult with managers and end users to determine the role IT systems play in their structures will collect and analyze business and user requirements and will make recommendations about IT enhancements and solutions.

What Youll Do:
Perform in-depth testing on system components to determine performance and diagnose system issues - Conduct research and propose technical solutions including implementing appropriate technical tools to troubleshoot and enhance those systems
- Provide cost-benefit analyses
- Oversee the installation configuration and testing of new and existing systems
- Design user acceptance testing plans document the results and review with end-users to ensure the system meets requirements.
- Help support document and maintain the systems

What Were Looking For:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field - Three years of relevant experience supporting business needs with IT solutions

- Experience with multiple varied IT systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and workflows
- Ability to effectively analyze systems and business processes
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to determine best solutions and approaches to problems
- Ability to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
- Ability to effectively communicate both oral and written technical concepts in a way that is appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Knowledge of agency processes and procedures
- Ability to understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage ones own time
- Ability to support and maintain IT systems
