The Nurse is an onsite medical practitioner for the programs at MCHS Family of Services. Providing preventive medical and health services; develops coordinates and implements medical care plans; identifies problems and provides care or referrals; coordinates the implementation and administration of medical services.
- Ensure proper care and medical treatment of all clients in the agencys care.
- Ensureproper administration of youth resident medications immunizations and MCIR compliance. Balanceand properlystoremedication; reviewand monitorstaff medication documentation; consult with staff to assess plan evaluate and implement patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate detailed medical reports and records for all children in agency care both residential and community programs.
- Work as a medical liaison with community agencies to ensure that medical needs are meet for all youth in MCHS community programs.
- Order interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab work for medication assessments and physicals and coordinate and oversee all prescription medication for youth in agency care.
- Train agency staff on medical policies and procedures CPR First Aid and medication.

Education and Experience:
- B.S.N. (bachelors of science in nursing) orRegistered Nurse with a minimum of five (5) years experience working with children and adolescents.
- Qualified to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan and hold an unrestricted license.
- National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) passed.
- Certified in AED/CPR and First Aid.
