Schedule: Onsite (MondayFriday 8:00 AM4:30 PM) with on-call duties (evenings weekends holidays)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Plastic Surgery Physician to deliver onsite and on-call services to veterans at the Memphis VA Medical Center. The scope of care must reflect modern surgical practices equivalent to those found in a top-tier civilian facility and meet national standards set by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inpatient and outpatient plastic surgery consultations and procedures
- Perform reconstructive surgeries wound management grafting flaps and other medically indicated cosmetic procedures
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care including documentation and follow-up
- Engage in multidisciplinary team collaboration and case review
- Provide on-call coverage and emergency procedures as needed
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS)
- Active unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
- Current BLS/ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in plastic surgery preferred
- Must be eligible for VA credentialing and privileging
