About the team and the role:

At eBay we celebrate innovation and diversity. Our Authentication Operations team has launched authentication services for watches handbags sneakers trading cards jewelry and apparel across multiple countries in just four years. We are a dynamic and inclusive team and we are excited to welcome a Packing Manager to lead our new facility in Louisville Kentucky.

As a Packing Operations Manager you will ensure every order is packed with care and precision. You will report to the Outbound Operations Manager and play a key role in expanding our operations. You will oversee safety budget and team development focusing on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction. You will lead and mentor a team of hourly employees fostering positive relationships and aligning with eBays goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of up to 20 associates to achieve excellence in safety quality customer experience employee engagement and cost efficiency.

• Promote ergonomic and safety initiatives to enhance process design and reduce risks.

• Drive quality and performance improvements implementing Lean initiatives to exceed business expectations.

• Set clear expectations for your team providing training feedback and accountability.

• Encourage innovation by developing improvement plans and validating their effectiveness.

• Advocate for eBays core principles and ensure best practices are followed.

• Use data-driven metrics for capacity planning and staffing to anticipate changes impacting performance or customer experience.

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; advanced qualifications like an MBA are a plus.

• Proven experience in leading operational improvements and fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging.

• Strong commitment to safety quality and employee engagement.

• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work independently while influencing others positively.

• A proactive and solution-oriented approach to challenges and coaching opportunities.

• Flexibility with work hours including weekend coverage and the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including location skills and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as PTO and parental leave).
