Job Description

The Long Term Sub Special Education Inclusion teacher will work with Elementary teachers and students to provide academic support within the general education :-Plan implement and assess instruction for students receiving support through an IEP-Collaborate with the general education teacher-Use instructional strategies and tools aligned with the Common Core and RPS instructional expectations-Maintain data to inform IEP goal and objective development and monitoring-Participate in IEP meetings-Maintain consistent communication with families-Actively engage in RPS professional development at the building and school level-Contribute to Common Planning Time-Meet and maintain the expectations of the RPS Office of Special Education-Participate in the evaluation and assessment of students during the initial annual and re-evaluation cycle-Act in accordance with all MA General Laws pertaining to special educationThe JFK uses a Push In model where the special education teacher enters the general education classroom to provide instruction and support to children. The Inclusion teacher will bring appropriately adapted materials into the classroom. The Inclusion teacher through co-planning with the general education teacher provides specifically designed differentiated instruction for students being served by an is September to January.
