Description
Responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install troubleshoot repair and maintain production and facility equipment following proper safety procedures and standard industry practices.
Essential Functions
- Perform diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment.
- Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance of equipment.
- Perform mechanical skills including but not limited to mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic troubleshooting and repair throughout the entire facility
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines equipment and plant facilities
- Use a variety of hand and power tools electric meters and material handling equipment
- Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules LOTO Confined Space Fall Protection Hazard Communications etc.
- Work full time Monday through Friday with frequent Saturday work
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Contribute to company morale and group commitment to goals
- Other duties as assigned by Supervision
Qualifications
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of proper use installation repair and maintenance of equipment used in concrete production work.
- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift push pull or carry objects
- Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly 40 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including heat and cold
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces climb ladders and work on platforms and in high places
- Requires good manual dexterity (hand hand with arm two hands) and multi-limb coordination.
- Ability to understand follow and transmit written and oral instructions
- Excellent attendance
- Ability to comply with all company policies procedures and safety requirements
Education Training and Experience
- Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
Work Context
- Regularly works near moving objects and in climate conditions that include inclement weather heat and humidity and exposure to dust and concrete
- Noise levels vary within facility. Hearing protection may be required in loud areas
- Occasionally required to wear fall protection equipment and/or half mask respirator
- Safety/Steel toe boots hardhat and safety glasses required
