Job Description
We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Production Manager to lead day-to-day manufacturing activities and drive continuous improvement initiatives across our production floor.
As the Production Manager you will supervise skilled individual contributors engaged in manufacturing operations utilizing process controls lean manufacturing principles specialized instruments and chemicals with minimal daily supervision. You will also be monitoring key performance indicators while facilitating business growth through digital innovations.
This is a people and production management role which may grow in scope and responsibility as business needs evolve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage a team of 1015 direct reports including assigning tasks monitoring progress and ensuring execution of production schedules.
- Oversee and direct the development planning implementation and optimization of manufacturing methods and technologies.
- Manage resources effectively and contribute to strategic workforce planning.
- Define performance expectations establish KPIs and drive accountability across the team.
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects that enhance safety quality efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure a safe compliant and inclusive work environment aligned with Agilent Core Values.
- Facilitate proactive and transparent communication between technicians peers stakeholders and customers.
- Champion lean manufacturing principles and digital innovation in process improvements.
- Train mentor and coach team members for professional development through on-the-job training (OJT) coaching and empowerment.
- Establish and maintain robust business controls and operational processes.
Work Schedule: Monday Friday from 2:00 PM 11:00 PM PST (2nd Shift) with occasional Saturday coverage as needed to support production schedules.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Operations or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment with prior experience in a supervisory or project management role.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing process controls and continuous improvement methodologies.
Proven ability to lead teams manage performance and drive results.
Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
Strong commitment to safety quality and compliance.
Additional Details
This job has a full time weekly schedule. Applications for this job will be accepted until at least June 23 2025 or until the job is no longer posted.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $112650.00 - $176015.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role level and location. Within the range individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors including job-related skills experience and relevant education or training.
