We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team in Charlottesville VA. This is a full-time on-site role with a salary range of $65000 $75000. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
In this role you will design and engineer mechanical solutions for industrial and manufacturing clients. Your work will include performing fieldwork at client sites taking measurements and developing design concepts using CAD software. You will collaborate with project teams to create construction documents and present designs to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Your ability to manage small projects independently while working effectively within a team will be key to your success.
To qualify you will need a Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) from an ABET-accredited institution and 25 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing facility design. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD REVIT and Plant3D is required. Familiarity with mechanical systems such as HVAC piping pumps and motors as well as knowledge of P&IDs and industry codes is essential. EIT certification and a desire to pursue a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license are a plus. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
