Job Title:Assistant Football Coach
Reports to: Eugene Jefferson Athletic Director
CLINTON OK Clinton High School is actively seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Assistant Football Coach to contribute to the continued success and development of the Red Tornadoes football program. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated individual with a passion for football and a commitment to fostering a positive and competitive learning environment for student-athletes.
The Assistant Football Coach will work under the direction of the Head Football Coach and the Athletic Director to support all aspects of the football program. This includes but is not limited to coaching a specific position group assisting with offensive and defensive game planning contributing to practice organization and mentoring student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and Instruction: Provide high-quality instruction and coaching to student-athletes in the fundamentals techniques and strategies of football. This includes planning and executing effective and engaging practice drills and sessions.
- Game Day Duties: Assist the head coach with all aspects of game day preparations including sideline coaching play calling and in-game adjustments.
- Scouting and Film Breakdown: Analyze game film of opponents and our own team to identify strengths weaknesses and tendencies. Contribute to the development of detailed scouting reports and game plans.
- Player Development: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship discipline and character development. Mentor student-athletes to excel both on and off the field including academic monitoring and support.
- Program Support: Assist with the daily operations of the football program including equipment inventory and maintenance field setup and other administrative tasks as assigned by the head coach.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with players parents fellow coaches and school administration.
- Adherence to Regulations: Ensure compliance with all Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association (OSSAA) rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching and/or playing experience in football at the high school or collegiate level is highly desirable.
- A valid Oklahoma teaching certificate
- Strong knowledge of football fundamentals strategies and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- A demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- A commitment to the educational and athletic mission of Clinton Public Schools.
