Job Description
The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at Corewell Health in Southeast Michigan is seeking candidates interested in a full-time Hematopathology position. This position will be based at the Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital Campus located in Royal Oak. It is a full-service practice with flow cytometry cytogenetics and molecular laboratories on site. Board certification from the American Board of Pathology (ABP) in hematopathology and AP/CP as well as 3-5 years of hematopathology experience is preferred. Responsibilities include bone marrow peripheral blood lymph node flow cytometry and coagulation sign out.
The department performs on an annual basis approximately 2000 bone marrow specimens 7500 flow cytometry specimens 45000 surgical accessions 70000 PAP smear and 8000 non-gyn cytology/FNA accessions. Beaumont Health is aligned with Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine. There is a pathology residency with three positions per year and fellowships in cytopathology hematopathology clinical chemistry and blood banking.
You will be an employed physician with knowledgeable practice management professionals assisting in day-to-day operations and take advantage of the resources and referral base of the larger Corewell Health system!

- BC Anatomic & Clinical Pathology
- BC Hematopathology
- Interest in teaching and supervision of medical students residents and fellows
- Unrestricted License - Michigan MD/DO
- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
- LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-DEA Registration - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required Or
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross 120 Days required
- CRT-Adv Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days required
