Job Description
Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is actively seeking a part-time Custodian to join its cleaning services team assigned to maintain the cleanliness and professional appearance of DBHs various facilities.
The Custodian is responsible for the following job essential job duties:
Perform all cleaning tasks on cleaning checklists at assigned facility (daily weekly monthly and quarterly).
Maintain cleaning equipment.
Under the direction of the Cleaning Services Supervisor respond to urgent cleaning needs outside of the regular cleaning schedule and task checklist.
Other tasks as assigned
Location & Schedule
This position will assist in cleaning the DBH Syracuse Outpatient clinic.
The schedule for this opening is Monday through Friday from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Compensation
The starting pay for Custodians is $9.50 per hour.
Required Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
All employees at DBH must successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check as well as a pre-employment drug screening. Since Davis Behavioral Health works with Federal grants the company and its employees must comply with the Federal drug laws including no use of medical marijuana.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid drivers license.
A clean driving record is also required to utilize the DBH vehicle fleet.

The Custodian must possess the following skills abilities and qualifications to be successful in this role:
Ability to manage time and efforts efficiently.
Ability to follow instructions.
Ability to complete delegated tasks.
Ability to demonstrate proper and safe knife procedures.
Ability to read recipes and adjust to prepare meals for required number of clients.
Be a self-starter.

DBH Criminal Background Check & Drug Screening Disclaimer
Davis Behavioral Health is a drug-free workplace and requires all employees to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening. DBH will not hire individuals currently using illegal drugs or abusing alcohol; therefore making employment at DBH conditional upon successfully passing pre-employment drug screening by providing a valid sample.
