We are seeking a Biomedical Science Histologist to join our esteemed client in Brighton. This role involves performing routine histopathology laboratory duties with a primary focus on microtomy sectioning (standard mega singles levels and cores) routine H&E staining using Leica Spectra and embedding various histology specimens. The successful candidate will work closely with pathologists and laboratory teams ensuring high-quality sample processing and adherence to clinical guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
The role requires expertise in histopathology including precise microtomy sectioning routine H&E staining and embedding histology specimens to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The histologist will be responsible for maintaining laboratory equipment ensuring quality control standards and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the histopathology lab. Additionally they will contribute to training and competency assessments ensuring compliance with UKAS accreditation standards.
