Job Summary
HR Generalist Perform various human resources duties in areas such as recruiting employment compensation benefits training employee relations or other special projects. HR Generalist I Perform various human resources duties in areas such as recruiting employment compensation benefits training employee relations or other special projects. Provide guidance on human resources operational issues employment law and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs. Partner with management teams to facilitate the delivery of HR services as appropriate. Serve as contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Basic skill set and proficiency required. Conduct work assignments as directed. Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires a bachelors 2 years of directly related work experience or a masters degree. This is an Entry-Level position in the General Professional track. Job Code: P21041 Grade: P14 HR Generalist II Perform various human resources duties in areas such as recruiting employment compensation benefits training employee relations or other special projects. Provide guidance on human resources operational issues employment law and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs. Partner with management teams to facilitate the delivery of HR services as appropriate. Serve as contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Moderate skill set and proficiency in discipline required. Conduct work assignments of increasing complexity under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires a bachelors 4 years or a masters 2 years of directly related work experience. This is a Developing-Level position in the General Professional track. Provide guidance on human resources operational issues employment law and develop new programs and initiatives to meet management needs. Partner with management teams to facilitate the delivery of HR services as appropriate. Serve as contact for employees and answer questions regarding HR policies and procedures. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conduct complex important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment. Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelors degree 4 years of directly related work experience). Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels: HR Generalist I: Requires a bachelors (or equivalency) with up to 2 years of directly related work experience or a masters degree. HR Generalist II : Requires a bachelors (or equivalency) 4 years or a masters (or equivalency) 2 years of directly related work experience. HR Generalist III : Requires a bachelors (or equivalency) 6 years or a masters (or equivalency) 4 years of directly related work experience.
