Job Description
Weekly outpatient therapy isnt always enough and a trip to the ER isnt the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center whenincrisis every day wehelp people overcome depression anxiety suicidality obsessions/compulsions trauma chronic pain and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely.
About This Role
As the largest provider of PHP/IOP programs and psychiatric services in Illinois Compass Health Center is one of the fastest-growing behavioral health organizations in the country. Launching in late 2025 our newest location in Golden Valley MN will be home to top local talent in behavioral health care. This interdisciplinary team of trailblazers will build our adolescent and adult programs from the ground up alongside the leadership of well-established clinicians and doctors working in PHP/IOP behavioral health care for the past decade.

As an Adolescent Group Therapist you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT DBT and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. This role will work with patients aged 12-18 in our Mood & Anxiety Program while also offering the opportunity to be cross-trained within our Adolescent specialty programs and services: School Refusal OCD/Complex Anxiety Mental Health and Substance Use.
What Youll Do:
- Developing and implementing DBT/CBT skill groups working with ages 12-18 years old
- Providing crisis intervention and staff support as needed
- Developing and documenting treatment plans and weekly update
- Co-facilitating creative expression and other experiential therapeutic groups
- Assisting program director in supporting families through phone coaching and follow-up calls
- Checking in with treatment team about changes and progress for individual patients
- Providing clinical observations and insights during interdisciplinary meetings
- Providing individual support to patients as needed
- Providing support to other team members in various treatment groups
- Providing guidance and support for milieu staff during skills and executive functioning therapy activities/instruction
- Participating in discharge planning for patients
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are:
- Masters in Social Work/Clinical Counseling or other relevant Masters/Doctoral programs
- Hold or be eligible for one of the following licensures: LGSW LPC LICSW LPCC MSW AMFT LMFT PsyD or PhD (preferred)
- 1 year of post-Masters clinical experience or a relevant masters level internship
- Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Experience with patients in crisis and a strong passion for working within high acuity environments

This range includes multiple career path levels across the organization; where you fall in the range is dependent upon a number of factors including but not limited to your years of experience type of experience location and education/certifications. Compensation
$47000 - $65000 USD
