ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Roots to Recovery
Roots to Recovery: A Holistic Approach to Substance Use Treatment (R2R) is an intermediate 24/7 residential treatment for men in need of a structured environment to continue building upon their recovery skills. There are 14 beds and it is a 90 day maximum intermediate (3.5) residential substance abuse treatment are referred from intensive treatment programs emergency room staff and/or detox programs. Clients with co-occurring disorders and on Methadone maintenance are accepted.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides Direct Services and Supervision to Clients
- Responsible for the overall coordination and operation of the residential program(s)
- Provides a safe and therapeutic environment within the program.
- Works within program policy and guidelines to provide program services.
- Demonstrates an understanding of the treatment of substance use disorders as well as co-occurring disorders relevant to the population served.
- Intervenes in client differences or conflicts in a way to ensure a positive milieu.
- Demonstrates the ability to form and maintain positive and healthy rapport with clients served by building trust and supporting competencies through interest and active engagement.
- Demonstrates an empathic understanding of complex trauma and its effects including abuse and loss.
- Responsible for the supervision of all residential staff as well as completing the scheduling and arranging for program coverage. Responsible for providing medication management as well as training to staff of medication monitoring procedures. Transports clients within the program as needed.
- Documents planned interventions behavior incidents and general observations of clients served and assessment of their skills behavior and moods in an objective and professional manner.
- Participates in treatment plan meetings and case conferencing. Maintains documentation in compliance with agency and program standards.
- Participates in staff meetings supervision trainings and other meetings as assigned.
- Additional duties as required.
Provides Direct Supervision to Senior and/or Lead Residential Staff and Residential Aides
- Participates in the hiring training and annual evaluation of an effective cohesive Residential Aide team.
- Directs and assists staff in crisis intervention as needed.
- Facilitates post crisis response meetings with program staff and clinical program director.
- Orients and trains new program staff.
- Meets with assigned staff for supervision as scheduled or as needed and completes annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
- Facilitates staff meetings in the absence of the clinical program director.
- Coordinates staff training efforts ensuring compliance to program models.
- Works as part of the clinical treatment team to identify clients needs and strategies to meet those needs.
Support Program Administration
- Assists Clinical Program Director and/or Program Manager with program budget to maintain fiscal responsibility.
- Responsible for regular review of Program P Card.
- Ensures program compliance with CHR health and safety standards as well as 1115 waiver Department of Public Health The Joint commission and OSHA standards regulations policies and procedures as applicable.
- Maintains system of 24 hour on-call supervision and shares 24/7 on-call duties with the Senior and/or Lead Residential Aid and Clinical Director
- Actively participates in program development by attending all necessary committee meetings and consultation.
- Coordinates and ensures compliance with operational program components including behavior management Residential Aide documentation recreation menus grocery shopping vehicle maintenance fire drills and coordination of physical plant repairs and upkeep.
- Coordinates with Facilities Department on service contracts for the program and interface with contractors such as electricians plumbers sprinkler systems fire alarms etc.
- Facilitates staff meetings and Coordinates staff training efforts ensuring compliance to program models.
- May perform other assignments and duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelors degree preferred five plus years of supervisory experience or previous experience working with individuals with substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders would be considered in lieu of education.
Experience: At least two years exposure working with the population served.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid current drivers license. First Aid CPR Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification are required to be successfully completed and are required to be maintained throughout employment.
Training: Agency scheduled and required trainings E-Learning trainings as assigned and any other program specific training as scheduled. CPR & First Aid Certification required OR must obtain within 90 days of employment.

COMPENSATION*:
$22.0646/hour minimum and up commensurate upon experience
*Actual rates are determined at the time of offer and are based off of relevant experience as well as adherence to our internal equity policy. Many of our positions offer program/location differentials and/or sign-on incentives. (Please note for part-time positions this range would be pro-rated based on hours worked)
