Your Tasks
In the area of Formula Development Body new formulas and application forms for Beiersdorf NIVEA Body products are being developed.
During your internship you will have the opportunity to contribute to development projects within an engaged team. You will gain valuable insights into the work of an international cosmetics company and acquire detailed knowledge about the formulation of cosmetic products. You can primarily gain experience in the following activities:
- Acquiring in-depth knowledge about the effects and development of formulations
- Manufacturing and optimizing various formulation bases on a laboratory scale
- Evaluating new raw materials
- Learning and conducting methods for assessing cosmetic products in terms of performance sensory attributes and stability
- Planning and conducting participant studies
- Independently handling tasks within a project
Furthermore this internship offers you the opportunity to gain a comprehensive insight into cosmetic product development through interdisciplinary collaboration with adjacent departments and functions.
Your Profile
- A science-oriented degree at a university or college (e.g. Chemistry Food Chemistry Food Technology Cosmetic Sciences Biotechnology etc.)
- Regularly enrolled throughout the entire internship or after completing a Bachelors degree an internship in preparation for a Masters program (the internship must be completed within the gap year)
- Practical experience e.g. in chemical analysis is an advantage
- Enjoyment of teamwork open-mindedness and sociability
- Careful and structured working style as well as good analytical skills
- Good knowledge of German and/or English
