Job Description

Would you excel at leading a diverse and fast-growing Child & Youth team to ensure quality programming for children and their families

  • Believe in and promote the YMCAs volunteer philosophy and integrate the value of volunteerism in all dealings with members volunteers donors and colleagues

Wed love to hear from people with:

  • Ability to work flexible hours based on program needs including evenings and weekends this is a front-line position requiring participation in the Child & Youth programs
  • Staff supervision performance management and mentorship experience and an ability to manage conflict resolution
  • Experience in Child & Youth program development implementation and evaluation
  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams Word and Excel comfortably
  • Experience creating staff schedules and ability to complete bi-weekly payroll and oversee departmental budget
  • Experience with recruitment interviewing and onboarding staff

  • Service Orientated: Deliberately identifies and creates opportunities to enhance each and every individuals YMCA experience. Creates action plans to resolve any service gap areas.
  • Relationship Building and Collaboration: Builds positive interactions listens attentively and communicates effectively to create an open communication environment. Share information best practices and resources with colleagues.

  • Provide 3 references of a professional nature (Ex. employer supervisor colleague teacher coach etc.)
  • Provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than six (6) months preceding your start date. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions and paperwork.
