Principal Engineer - Transmission Projects
Juno Beach Florida 33401 (Remote)
12-month contract duration
Overview of the Role:
Join a dynamic team working on game-changing transmission infrastructure projects that power Americas future. As a Principal Engineer youll lead significant EHV and HVDC transmission projects from conception through award working alongside industry experts on competitive FERC Order 1000 projects and strategic acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead transmission project development from early-stage conception through project award
- Collaborate with project managers to define requirements and influence project scope
- Secure and manage engineering consulting surveying and geotechnical resources
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables including design criteria and constructability assessments
- Represent engineering interests in management presentations and stakeholder meetings
- Develop value engineering solutions with commercial mindset
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Extensive experience with competitive transmission proposals
- Commercial/competitive mindset with value engineering expertise
- HVDC transmission system knowledge
- EHV overhead transmission experience (500kV)
- Underground or submarine cable experience preferred
- Strong project management and communication skills
