Job Description
Transmission Line Subject Matter Expert (TLSME)
Remote Position (Must work EST hours)
12-month contract
Overview of the Role:
Join a dynamic team where your expertise directly impacts critical power infrastructure projects! As a TLSME youll be the technical backbone supporting transmission line design and construction across high-voltage systems. This role offers the perfect blend of technical leadership mentoring opportunities and strategic project influence in a collaborative remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert technical support to Project Engineering teams on 230kV transmission projects
- Lead development and implementation of transmission line standards
- Mentor and guide Project Engineers in technical requirements and best practices
- Respond to complex Requests for Information using engineering judgment and expertise
- Drive process improvement initiatives across multiple disciplines
- Collaborate with diverse TLSME team members to deliver optimal solutions
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering with deep transmission line expertise
- Minimum 8 years supporting high-voltage transmission projects (230kV)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience
- Strong problem-solving abilities with urgency mindset
- Experience working with diverse cross-functional teams
- Ability to make independent technical decisions
- Aggressive self-motivated approach suitable for remote work
