Position: Proposal Strategist Department: Revenue Operations Location: Alpharetta GA Reports To: Revenue Operations Job Scope and Accountabilities The Proposal Strategist is responsible for the end-to-end development of pursuit deliverables creation of client-centric proposals in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) Requests for Information (RFIs) and other strategic business opportunities. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth across priority industries service lines and accounts. The ideal candidate is an exceptional writer with a deep understanding of proposal strategy content structuring and evaluator expectationscapable of translating technical and business value into compelling narratives that resonate with decision-makers. Success in this role requires outstanding writing editing and organizational skills as well as the ability to collaborate effctively with subject matter experts sales teams and product stakeholders under aggressive deadlines. Key Responsibilities - Content Management & Writing:
- Develop compelling complaint and customer-focused proposal content in response to RFPs RFIs RFQs and other formal solicitations.
- Create edit and proofread content for clarity coherence and impact across multiple proposal types and formats.
- Translate complex technical concepts and SaaS platform capabilities into clear value-driven narratives that align with client-specific business needs and evaluation criteriaeffectively integrating responses to technical questionnaires within broader business-focused proposal sections.
- Draft and refine critical proposal sections including executive summaries technical and management approaches past performance and value propositions.
- Ensure all written content is evaluator-focused compliant and consistent with the companys tone voice and brand guidelines.
- Maintain and continuously improve a centralized library of reusable content templates and best practices using tools like RFPIO Loopio or SharePoint.
- Assist in the creation editing and formatting of proposal documents ensuring compliance with client requirements and company standards.
- Coordinate proposal schedules deadlines and deliverables to ensure timely submission.
- Support the development of proposal outlines compliance matrices and content planning.
- Gather and organize input from subject matter experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Coordinate with business development marketing technical and leadership to align proposal strategy with company objectives.
- Clearly communicate deadlines requirements and expectations to contributors and leadership.
Experience Required - Prior experience working in construction is highly desired (either at construction service firms or construction software)
- 3 years of hands-on experience writing proposals for SaaS construction tech or related industries is plus.
- Exceptional writing editing research and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Consultative sales background highly desirable
Education/Professional Qualifications - Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university (English Communications Marketing Journalism Business or a related field is a plus).
Interpersonal Skills - 3 years of experience in proposal writing coordination or related roles.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with proposal management tools (e.g. RFPIO Loopio SharePoint) is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Knowledge of government and/or corporate proposal processes (e.g. FAR DFARS or Shipley Method) is a plus.
- Experience in the construction and/or software development market is a plus.
- Strong written verbal communication and organizational skills
