Job Overview:

We are seeking a SQLServer DBA to join our growing team. As a SQLServer DBA you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our clients databases ensuring their optimal performance and availability. You will also play a key role in database design development and troubleshooting working closely with our development and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and maintain SQLServer databases to ensure optimal performance and availability

- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions

- Perform database backups and disaster recovery procedures

- Develop and implement database security and access controls

- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to design and optimize databases for performance and scalability

- Create and maintain database documentation including data standards procedures and definitions

- Stay up-to-date with the latest database technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvement

- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed

- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a SQLServer DBA

- Strong knowledge of SQLServer database administration including backup and recovery performance tuning and security

- Experience with database design and development including stored procedures triggers and indexes

- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and techniques

- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience with other database technologies such as Oracle or MySQL is a plus

Contract Details:

This is a full-time permanent position based in Lisbon Portugal. The salary and benefits package will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
