Job Description:

The opportunity

The Factoring and Credit Assessment Specialist plays a key role in managing the companys credit risk and cash flow by overseeing factoring operations conducting credit assessments managing billing and collections and ensuring accurate reporting of receivables and bad debt provisions.

How youll make an impact

  • Factoring Operations:

    • Manage end-to-end factoring processes including onboarding of receivables liaising with factoring partners and reconciling payments.
    • Monitor factoring limits and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
  • Credit Assessment:

    • Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers using internal scoring models and external data sources.
    • Recommend credit limits and payment terms based on risk analysis.
  • Billing and Invoicing:

    • Ensure timely and accurate issuance of customer invoices.
    • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
  • Credit Collection:

    • Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.
    • Negotiate payment plans and escalate delinquent accounts as needed.
  • Reporting and Analysis:

    • Prepare and analyze theAging Reportto identify trends and risks in receivables.
    • Calculate and maintainBad Debt Allowancesin accordance with accounting standards and company policy.
    • Provide regular updates to management on collection performance and credit exposure.
  • Compliance and Controls:

    • Ensure adherence to internal controls company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Support internal and external audits related to receivables and credit management.

Your background

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics or related field.
  • Proven experience in credit management factoring or accounts receivable.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Knowledge of IFRS/GAAP principles related to bad debt provisioning is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
