What is great about the role
At Clifton Place you would be working with a diverse group of people ranging from families young people pregnant women individuals with physical disabilities mental health issues and substance misuse and individuals who have been trafficked from the other side of the world. Day to Day Duties:
As a Lead Project Worker your day will consist of:
- Engaging and interacting with the people we support
- Support the manager & the project staff with the day to day running of the scheme
- Ensuring that P.I.E. is integral to the service
- Lead meetings and direct project staff in conjunction with the scheme manager
- Support to induct & train new staff members
- Manage the scheme in the managers absence
- Attend external and professional meetings in managers absence
- Supervise team members
- To work in partnership with Supporting People and our recovery lead/welfare benefits worker/Housing Management team to support people towards the best outcomes they can achieve
- Provide a continuous and consistent approach to support for vulnerable adults helping them make the transition into independent living and advising them on re-housing options
- Oversee the rota ensuring the service is sufficiently always covered
- Liaise with Social Services the Benefit Agency Housing Department GDS CAB Health and Safety and other agencies.
- Liaise with Pobl Housing Management team around rents and service charge.
Our aim is to ensure we equip these individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to live independently. This is a challenging role and you will be faced with complex behaviours and needs including alcohol misuse mental health substance misuse and anti-social and offending behaviour. You will work with a range of different personalities and behaviours so you will need to be able to adapt your approach to engage with a diverse cliental.
